Can I bring my own fishing equipment?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your fishing equipment if you prefer. However, our captains and crew are highly experienced and have all the necessary equipment for a successful fishing trip.
Do I need any experience in fishing to join a charter?
No prior fishing experience is required. Our crew will provide all necessary guidance and assistance to ensure a safe and enjoyable fishing experience for all guests.
Is there a maximum number of people allowed on a charter?
Our fishing charters can accommodate up to six people, but we also offer private charters for larger groups. Please get in touch with us directly for more information on private charters.
What is the best time of year for fishing in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica offers good fishing year-round, but the peak season for different types of fish varies. We recommend contacting us directly to discuss the best time for your desired catch.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The safety and comfort of our guests are our top priorities. If the weather conditions are deemed unsafe, we will reschedule your charter for another date or provide a full refund.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your fishing charter, please get in touch with us at least 72 hours before the scheduled trip. Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance will be charged a cancellation fee.
Can we keep the fish we catch?
Yes, you are welcome to keep your catch. Our crew will clean and prepare the fish for you to take home, or we can recommend local restaurants that will cook it for you.
Do I need a fishing license?
Our fishing charter packages include all necessary licenses and permits, so you do not need to worry about obtaining one. However, a separate license may be required if you plan to fish outside the charter. Please get in touch with us for more information.
Are children allowed on the fishing charter?
Children of all ages are welcome on our fishing charters. We highly recommend that children always wear life jackets while on the boat, and we can provide them if needed.
What should I bring with me on the fishing charter?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, comfortable clothes and shoes, a camera to capture your catches and any necessary personal items. We also recommend getting a cooler to transport your fish, and we can provide ice upon request. Overall, just come prepared for a fun day on the water!
How early should I arrive for my fishing charter?
We recommend arriving at least 15-30 minutes before the scheduled departure time to allow enough time for check-in and boarding. This will ensure a timely departure and maximize your time on the water.
Are there any restrictions for pregnant women?
Pregnant women are welcome on our fishing charters, but we recommend consulting with your doctor before participating in any physical activities while pregnant.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
You are welcome to bring food and drinks, but we also provide snacks and beverages on our fishing charters. Please let us know if you have any special dietary restrictions.
Is smoking allowed on the fishing charter?
Smoking is not allowed on our boats out of respect for other guests and the safety of all passengers. However, there will be designated areas onshore where smoking is permitted during breaks and stops. We ask that you please be mindful and respectful of others while on the charter.

Will I get seasick?
We cannot guarantee that you will not get seasick, but our captains and crew are experienced in navigating the waters of Costa Rica and will do their best to make your trip as comfortable as possible.
