Charter fishing in Costa Rica, you will find that Central Pacific Sailfish runs between 80 to 200 pounds and you can expect to get up to 15 sailfish bites per day during the high season months of December, January, February, March and April. You may get a chance to catch the highly prized Marlin. Clients have enthusiastically caught Marlin that were 800 pounds. Central Pacific Costa Rica sport fishing starts at the incredible Los Sueños Resort and 220 slip marina, located just 3 miles north of Jaco. You can catch Sailfish, Marlin, Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo. Or if you want to do some inshore fishing, you will be fishing for Roosterfish, Jacks, Snapper and Bonitas. This is deep sea conditions at their best in typically flat calm waters, 80 degrees weather and plenty of sun. Go deep sea fishing for all your favorite big Game fish. With Sailfish averaging around 100 pounds and greater, you can experience the thrill of Pacific ocean fishing in beautiful Costa Rica. You will have a wide variety of boats to choose from including: 35' Bertram - "Sailfish" is proving to be one of the top fish raising boats in Los Suenos Costa Rica. She is fast and comfortable. The last hundred days of fishing we averaged 11 Sailfish per day released. The seas are flat calm here year round, so you don't need a big boat. We spend several hours a day backing down and maneuvering on fish, so a smaller agile boat has a tremendous advantage here. This boat has plenty of shade and cold a/c to keep you comfortable. Maximum 6 anglers. There are many boats in the 35-40 range that cost between $1500 and $1800 per day and usually take 4 anglers. You will get the best captains and boats available chartering with Costa Rica fishing charters. For inshore fishing and smaller groups Miss Behavin' is a favorite. Captain Dave knows all the good places to catch Roosterfish. Your day typically means spending the first few hours catching bait fish and then heading to the fishing grounds to get a Roosterfish on the line. This type of fishing is more challenging and can be added to a couple of days of offshore trolling. Large groups can use the 55' Hatteras, Nomad to keep the group together for the big fishing party that will last all day. You can enjoy a cold beer in the air conditioned cabin while you wait your turn at catching a Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna or Dorado. All the trips include plenty of food and drinks throughout the day.
